Xanadu Cabernet Sauvignon 2022
Xanadu Cabernet Sauvignon 2022
Glen@Xanadu: From our most awarded label of wine, the 2022 Xanadu Cabernet Sauvignon offers a core of inky berry fruits; boysenberry, blackcurrants and Satsuma plums.
Tasting Notes
Full-bodied yet refined, the palate offers a core of inky berry fruits; boysenberry, blackcurrants and Satsuma plums. Dense and well-structured, the palate is layered with these dark fleshy fruit characteristics and ripe tannins which culminate through to a persistent Cabernet finish.
Plaudits
An impressive cabernet sauvignon from a season which produced wines of power and volume. The typical blackcurrant aromas are augmented with sweet plummy nuances. The colour is bright and almost luminous. If you are looking for great value in cellaring then this baby is right on the mark. Ray Jordan 96 Points.
Fuller bodied but well composed with ripe, if slightly sandy, tannins and the cedary oak neatly tucked in, just giving off a slight green walnut note. Appealing now but in a way, it’s still finding its groove and will be more complete with an extra year or so in bottle. James Halliday. 95 Points.
