Voyager Estate Vivid Red 2024
Voyager Estate Vivid Red 2024
Tim@Voyager: A pure and bold expression of our place in Stevens Valley. Wild, bright and completely preservative-free, it’s fresh as the day and ready for spring. 3 months on French Oak. Shiraz, Tempranillo, Grenache, Merlot blend.
Tasting Notes
Intense red fruit, earth, graphite, aniseed, bold, wild brambly fruit, ferrous, velvety tannin. Food match Barbeque meats, balsamic roasted tomatoes or charcuteries.
Plaudits
A blend of shiraz, grenache, tempranillo and merlot. It's preservative free. Vivid red indeed, the colour a gorgeous dark purple shot with red. It’s vibrant and juicy – full of dark fruits and spices nicely. The palate is lighter framed but not wimpy. Chill it down in summer or enjoy as is any other time. Love it. Halliday Wine Companion 93 points.

About Winery
About Winery
Walking the grounds is akin to drifting through your own dream-like fairytale. The meticulous lawns, artistic hedges, white Dutch inspired architecture and cobblestone paths transport to you to a different time and place. Voyager is one of the big Margaret River three (with Leeuwin and Vasse Felix) so it’s not a boutique hidden gem, but its organic wine is still a fantastic representation of the varietals that Margaret River does so well.
James Halliday.
Voyager Estate is located on Stevens Road in the Boodjidup Valley, which is emerging as hallowed ground (Leeuwin, the western neighbour, Xanadu’s Stevens Road vineyard and the vineyards of Voyager Estate complete the trinity of prestige in this neck of the woods).
As of ’23, the vineyard and winery are certified organic and there is extensive clonal and varietal experimentation in the estate vineyards.
