Swinney Grenache 2024
Swinney Grenache 2024
Rob@Swinney: Tight and coiled at first, it unfurls gloriously in the glass to reveal dark raspberry and cranberry aromatics, a fleshy, gently gamey core of fruit.
Tasting Notes
Deep garnet with purple hues Rose hip, perfume, pot puri, dark spice, squid ink, red liquorice. Very youthful, primary juicy acidity, pomegranate.
Plaudits
This is slipped into red cherry, white strawberry and cranberry fruit characters. It's quite peaky, a little on edge and not quite settled into its groove, but there's freshness, purity and finesse setting up a long and attractive future for this wine.
93 Points. James Halliday.

About Winery
Rob Mann, head winemaker at Swinney, is descended from an Australian winemaking family stretching back six generations, and has lent his hand to some of Australia’s most renown labels. His vision at Swinney is simple: use exceptional fruit to make exceptional wine, comparable to the country’s greatest.
James Halliday.
The Swinney family (currently parents Graham and Kaye, and son and daughter Matt and Janelle) has resided on their 2500ha property since 1922. In the ’90s they decided to diversify and now have 160ha of vines across 4 vineyards, including the Powderbark Ridge vineyard in Frankland River.
