Mike@Singlefile: The Singlefile vineyard is in the Denmark subregion of the Great Southern.  The vineyard is very slow ripening and tends to maintain its natural acidity while developing flavour.

Tasting Notes

Intense citrus and stone fruit aromas and flavors, with creamy, nutty, and subtly toasty oak notes, balanced by a fresh acidity and a long, lingering finish.

Plaudits

Review of the 2022: Hand-picked, whole bunch pressed to new (33%) and 1yo (67%) The oak absorbed so that its impact is reflected more in texture than flavour per se. A wine of elegance and overall length, the finish lingering, the aftertaste fresh and promising much for the future. James Halldiay 96 Points.

Opens with an inviting combination of lemon pith, cut lime, and a savoriness, while on the palate, other nuances of butterscotch, brioche, and a slightly cashew influence are cut with a little citrus minerality. It retains a cooler-climate fineness and precision, and this is an excellent example of southern region chardonnay. Ray Jordan. 95 Points.

About Winery

The cool kid of the Great Southern Region. I recently visited Singapore and all friends living there asked me if I could bring some Singlefile wine. (As Singapore had run out). Starting to gain plaudits nationally and internationally for its quality and price.

This Great Southern (Western Australia) winery, has received significant recognition from James Halliday in his Australian Wine Companion, including being named a "Dark Horse Winery of the Year" in 2023.
Several Singlefile wines have also been included in Halliday's Top 100 lists and have been awarded high scores, particularly for their value for money. In recent years, Singlefile has also been recognized for its cellar door experience.
