 Julien@Nocturne: The 2023 Nocturne SV Forrest Vineyard Chardonnay is sourced from the Forrest Vineyard in the Wilyabrup sub-region which is planted to the classic WA Gin Gin clone. It is dazzlingly vibrant, stylish and a real joy to drink.  The best Nocturne SV Chardonnay to date. I feel unequivocal on this.

Tasting Notes

Exhibits notes of white nectarine, grapefruit, and a flinty, mineral core with hints of nuts and creamy lees, delivering a harmonious and long finish.

Can you dig it? Yes, I can – both the music and this, the finest Forrest vineyard chardonnay to date. Thoughtful winemaking harnesses the power of the site and thus the fruit offers an explosion of flavour – citrus, white stone fruit, spice and feathery light lees, oak superbly integrated and teased by a laser light beam of acidity. This is complex, delicious and compelling. 97 Points James Hallliday.

97 is a heck of a score from the 2025 Halliday. Julian Langworthy knows how to make a good Chardonnay. And the 2023 vintage was one of the best.
