Cullen Diana Madeline 2023
Cullen Diana Madeline 2023
Vanya@Cullen: The 2023 Diana Madeline is the culmination of over 50 years of dedication, effort and respect for the land. Hand-harvested over seven picks, starting in mid-March and culminating on a Moon opposite Saturn astral event in early April. Following this it matured for 14 months in 40% new French oak.
The final blend comprises 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Merlot with the balance being small amounts of Malbec and Petit Verdot.
Tasting Notes
Profound wine of vigorous depth and harmonious concentration. Fine grained tannins that wrap around the palate with a juicy plums, cedar and sandalwood sitting with grace and silk length. A great example of finesse.
Plaudits
This Diana Madeline delights as soon as it's poured. A deep, dark purple-red and so vibrant. Ah the aromas next – It has concentrated, fabulous fruit on the fuller-bodied palate yet there’s a finesse, too. It’s a gorgeous drink. Guaranteed to age beautifully for another two or so decades. 97 Points. James Halliday.
Put bluntly, this is perhaps the finest young Cabernet I can ever recall tasting. It is simply brilliant. 99 Points. Wine Pilot.
Is this the best Diana Madeline yet? 98 Points. Robert Parker.

The flagship of Cullen. Always highly anticipated. Always one of the best Cabernet's to be released in the Margaret River region.
