Castle Rock Estate Riesling 2024
Castle Rock Estate Riesling 2024
Rob@Castle Rock: Since it's inception in 1986, this Riesling has been the flagship of our Rieslings, capturing the pure fruit expression of our unique site along the Porongurup Range.
Tasting Notes
Light, pale lemon in colour.
An elegant and refreshing nose of crushed lime leaf and citrus blossom. The palate exhibits superb balance and delicacy. A super fine, delicate acid line drives an exceptionally long finish.
Will accompany fish, delicate crustacean and mild Asian dishes.
Excellent ageing potential, at least 20 years with careful cellaring.
Plaudits
There’s an approachability to this wine that delivers very high drinkability. Everything meshes beautifully, the wine stretches luxurious and long, the refreshment factor is ballistic. Absolutely spot-on for its reflection of the variety and place. 95 Points. James Halliday.

About Winery
About Winery
Rob Diletti is an exceptional and experienced wine maker and Castle Rock produces some exquisite cool variety Pinot and Riesling. Their 2021 Diletti Riesling was voted the second best in the country by James Halliday.
James Halliday.
An exceptionally well-located vineyard winery and cellar door on a 55ha property with sweeping vistas of the Porongurup Range, operated by the Diletti family. The 2-level winery, set on a natural slope, maximises gravity flow.
The rieslings have always been elegant and have handsomely repaid time in bottle; the pinot noir is the most consistent performer in the region; the shiraz is a great cool-climate example; and chardonnay has joined a thoroughly impressive quartet, elegance the common link. Rob Diletti’s excellent palate and sensitive winemaking mark Castle Rock as one of the superstars of WA.
