Jeremy@Amelia Park: A superbly fragrant nose of dark berry fruits, with hints of anise and forest floor earthiness. The palate is elegant with fine tannins and persistent length. Aged in French oak for twelve months, this wine drinks beautifully now and will benefit from cellaring. The 2023 vintage was long and cool, picking later than we traditionally do. The cool conditions allowed the grapes to slowly ripen, resulting in perfectly balanced flavours and natural acidity
Tasting Notes
A wonderfully elegant wine made with a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes. A fragrant bouquet full of dark forest berries, anise, and earthy notes, with hints of savory olive. Lovely line and length with a fine tannin structure.
Plaudits
Wow. You won’t be able to put this one down. Exotic perfumes of bright red berries with a little minerally earthy nuance before the final lift of violet showing the subtle influence of a small amount of cabernet franc. The palate is pure indulgence with supple fruit wrapped around a fine thread of tannin and a gentle touch of oak. Just bewdiful. Ray Jordan 95 Points.

Cab Merlot is the perfect place to start for someone getting into red wine. Approachability is the key here. It's the perfect wintertime combination. Cab for the spice, and Merlot for the smooth.

The cellar door is something out of a James Bond Movie and worth the visit alone. The wines, under the tutelage of seasoned Margaret River winemaker Jeremy Gordon, are all exceptional quality and value, and are a perfect representation of the Margaret River region.

Jeremy Gordon’s winemaking career started with Evans & Tate, and Houghton thereafter, before moving to the eastern states to broaden his experience. He eventually returned to Margaret River, and after several years founded Amelia Park Wines with his wife Daniela Gordon and business partner Peter Walsh.
